Are You A Party Mom?

Some mothers just don’t fit the traditional mold; they like the nightlife, and they make no apologies for it. Although becoming a mother doesn’t mean the party is over, it does mean that what you celebrate and how you celebrate has to change. Instead of drinking the night away, you need to learn to appreciate spending the night feeding your baby a bottle of formula. Instead of staying out late, you have to stay home and tuck your kids in. Being a mother is not a party, but it can be a very rewarding lifestyle. If you’re struggling with the changes that motherhood brings, share your story with us.

I can not believe this girl. I was 15 and 17 when I had my first two children, I now have 4. I don't know what ever could make her think that she could be a normal teenager. I have never been to a teenage party. My kids have grown wonderfully and they have always come first, even when I delivered them at the age of 16, and 18. GROW UP! I finished high school and college and have never put partying first, this is ridiculous. Someone needs to slap her into reality!

I am a twenty year old single mother and I was outraged by the seventeen year old "party mom." I have been out maybe twice since my daugher was born, 9 months ago. I won't even stay out at my family's house after six o'clock so she can get to bed around six-thirty or seven!

OOOOOOOOOOH I am hot after watching that show. I had my daughter when I was 16 yrs old in 1972. I never ever asked my mother to watch her. I am the one who was responsible for her. My mother did not lay down and make that baby she raised 3 kids it was not her place to raise mine. why oh why do the girls of today feel they should have children but not have to take care of them what is that about? I do not understand. They do not have to have a baby there is this thing called abstainance or birth control or adoption or abortion why why why do they keep having kids for someone else to take care of? and the worst part is they expect it. They think their parents mothers of course should take care of them. Where is their sense of responsability? I gave up everything for my children. At 16 I stayed home and took care of her, I fed her, rocked her, changed her, bathed her, everything. I didn't rely on anyone. If you want a baby you want a baby what sense is it to have someone else tkae care of them. I am raising three grandkids because my daughter who is 29 thinks to much of herself and her drugs to take care of them. It is almost like she doesn't hav a motherly bone in her body just like the girl today who said her mother doesn't have anything else to do. Well maybe she woould like to be a grandma now and not a mom again that is her job now. OOOOOOOOOOH it just irks me. Thanks for letting me vent.

I saw the show about mothers who drink. The lady with 3 children - where does she get the money to do this? She gets it from taxpayers. The money is to support her kids not her drinking. I worked 37 years and now retired with a very good salary. I can't afford to go out 4 times a week but someone who does not work can because she gets paid by the federal goverment to lay around all day and drink at night and get pregant again and again because the taxpayers are footing the bill. As a taxpayer I am feed up with women getting pregant and EXPECTING taxpayer to keep paying and paying. This woman is not a decent mother and the welfare system should look into where the money that is provided for food and shelter is being spend.

I have to say that here in Luzerne county, Pa. it is perfectly ok to go out and party like your guests. The local children's protective service feels that it is a mother's right to go out and party every weekend and have sex with many different men. This I am very serious about. Even if you shoot up drugs and emotionally torture your children, hit them in the back of the head and call them names, it is ok. It is ok to be so hung over that your child misses over 25 days of school.
Maybe the Dr. should call up some of the reps of our local CPS and have a talk with them.
Thank you.
