John Mark Karr said on the show the other day he was moving to Georiga with his father, I am here to tell everyone he lives in Hamilton, Alabama. How am I so sure? I also live in Hamilton, Alabama and I am terrified for my children and their friends. It's been all over the news in Georiga and here, that he was coming here to live. Wishful thinking had everyone hoping it wasn't true but after being spotted several times, we all know it is. What can we do? I feel as though the hands of the law are tied but I find myself going by his home to see what he is driving so I will know what kind of car to watch out for. In our town we know everyone at all the stores, banks, and businesses. We all take time to ask how everyone is doing. I know just about all of them by their names but last night when my daughter and her friend asked if they could go to the bathroom while we were in Wal-Mart, I cringed. I would have never thought anything of it before. Now I can't stop thinking about the safety of the children here. I don't want to live our lives in fear but now I feel as though that decision has been forced upon us. What can we do? Our once safe community is now a scary place. My daughter is 11 years old and my son just turned 10. They were both used to playing in our garage or outside at times by themselves, now I won't even let them go to the mailbox. How can I help them understand it's not safe without scaring them as well?

I would like to see more of the interview with Karr. I think that after you share the interview then you can bring in the team and talk about him. I would like to form my own opinion about him. I think he has a lot of issues and I hope that he will not work around children again. Thanks

I don't know who killed that poor child, but I saw your interview with him and I wonder if it is possible that he was so fastenated with Jon Benet that he might have killed a little girl that looked like her or had similar features, and in his head really believes it was Jon Benet? I am a grandmother and I am really worried about this guy. If he has not killed yet, I believe he will!

And still what I think what they need to do . They need to keep this guy in a clinic... Because he will be going to hurt another kid .If I hear this guy talk I get very scared what will happen when he get his hands on a kid in his neighborhood.

I watched today your show. And I got a bit angry to hear that people who get abused can abuse themselves when didn't talk about there feelings. I myself was sexual abused by my father.I didn't speak for over 25 years about that .But NEVER even ONE minute thought to abuse somebody because I was abused. I think people who abuse often use there own childhood for getting away with these kinds of crimes. And if you go by all people who had a bad childhood or got sexual abused in there life .Isn't it weird that there are not more criminals? Sorry but this needed from my chest because most people who are abused are just 'normal" people who wouldn't think of doing this kind of sick acts to others,Because they know what a struggle it can be the rest of your life. .

I am sitting here watching the interview of Karr. Besides feeling scared that someone like him asking to be locked up is not. I had a memory about the time when JonBenet died, on the same day or a couple of days later a little girl was murdered and raped. Her family was outraged because they were not receiving the same help as the Ramsey family because they are not rich. I believe it was in Chicago. As soon as I send this I am going to look it up on-line. Was he ever looked at is this murder? I just remember how bruitly the little girl was killed and saddened because her family was right. Not enough money to cause their pain to be high profile so the best of the best were not there to help. I am not even sure if the case was solved because intrest was lost. But something about the way Karr spoke made me think about it for the first tme in years. 10 years I guess.

After working many years for Dept of Mental Health my questions are:
#1 It is obvious that John Mark Karr is a very sick, disturbed man why is it he is free and not locked up in a Psychiatric Institution?
# 2 Why do we as a society continue to give these type of individuals publicity, notoriety, making them feel they are important?
#3 I remember working with these types of sick individuals, and remember them telling me, "they can give me all the medication they want" "they can keep me locked up" "I will always feel this way and if I ever get out I will continue to go after children" There is no Cure for these type of sick people!! Bottom line he was abused as a child, however it does not make it right for him to repeat abuse to others, problem being they need to be taught right from wrong, and obviously taught 2 wrongs does not make a right. Anyone can break the chain, like anything else they need to Want to, and this man chose not to. Bottom line Lock him away throw away the key, all pedophiles need to be locked away forever away from society and children!!
