Just wanted to say we were in the audience when this show was taped. We flew into New York and got married there and our second last day there we went to NBC studios, where we went to the taping of the Charlie Shanian interview. What a nice man, it's to bad you got caught with such a spoiled rich girl. Both my husband and myself really enjoyed the show, and we wish Charlie all the best in the future!!

I watched the show for the first time today and it was very interesting to see. I did not realize my children would be exposed to this kind of stupidity on myspace. "john" needs serious counseling to deal with his insecurities about himself and his life choices because that is obviously what drives his attitude. I wonder if his parents know what they have raised-I would be embarassed if that were my child and did not intervent to get him serious counseling. The others are almost as bad. People need to realize the comments by these people are insignificant and only meant to make themselves feel better without consideration to how it affects others. This is what I teach my own children-do not give these people the benefit of reacting to the stupidity of their little comments or opinions. Parents wake up and pay attention to what your kids are doing online and in person! Another thing, if our schools and other adults see these things going on-intervene and stop it!!!!! I see teachers, counselors and others ignoring this stuff all the time because they don't want to take the time to interfere or be looked at by school kids as other then the "cool" teacher. We are not here to be cool-we are here to be responsible for the well being of all of these kids. If we see someone bullying then we need to get the help for the bully as well as the bullyed. The bully is the one with the most problems!

Yes, Mr. and Mrs. Spelling are correct, Tori is a very selfish person. This became evident when her actions led to divorce. Tori already she has experienced much sadness due to the death of her father and the fight over money. I believe "what goes around, comes around" and she will look back with regret on some her very self-centered choices. Charlie will see that he is lucky to be rid of her early on.

A nice guy. I hope he knows that Tori is the one with the issues. How long do YOU think her new marriage will last, I'm predicting 3-4 years, the most!

I feel so betrayed FOR him. I wonder
if the therapist acted irresponsibly by
dismissing him shortly after hearing
such shocking news, at the very least. the therapist must have known how it
would appear to him, that his feelings at that time were not as valid as Tory's feelings. This bothers me.

Well, I must say, I had never heard of Charlie Shanien before this show....but what a sweet person, and what a sad, yet overall, a story with a happy ending. Because, isn't that what life is about. Meeting people... maybe having the opportunity to make relationships, and then learning from them. Charlie seemed to have been delivered an angel, even with the heartache he endured, by the way he turned out. Everything happens for a reason! God Bless!
